Temperatures

*** I went to a McDonald’s Drive Thru to get an iced coffee (don’t judge me as long as the temperature of the coffee is cold, I’ll drink it from anywhere) and the guy who handed it to me was dressed up for Halloween, so I showed him my Michael Myers mask.  Today’s Friday Email is all about “Temperatures.” Have a great weekend!***

This time of the year you never know if the temperature will be 30 or 70 (or both in the same day).  Junior called me from the parking lot to tell me I had left a package on top of my car.  I know Junior, the package I left there is not fragile.  It’s safe against any temperature and instead of carrying it in for me I had to go all the way back outside to get it.  Junior saw something I wrote and said he was surprised I wrote it in script because he sees a lot of people hand write things these days.  I said the adult way to write is script Junior.  He said so why did you write in script then?  Maybe I had a temperature/fever that day and felt like a real adult for once in my life.  Moise texted me when I was driving to work and he had the day off.  He gave me a list of things he wanted me to do for him.  I said what about my work.  He said forget about that.  The next day he walked in, I said I didn’t call you the whole day.  He said I know I was going to call you.  Junior just shook his head at us like what losers can’t go for 1 day without talking.  Junior said he sleeps with his cell phone on the floor near his bed.  Uh Junior so when you get up in the morning to get out of bed and accidentally step on the phone, does it make a crunching noise? I guess you won’t be able to look at your weather app (or any other app) for the temperature after it breaks.  Moise said he needed coffee to get rid of his headache (maybe he had a temperature/fever).  I googled it and the first thing it says is that coffee can help you get rid of a headache.  But then the next sentence says it can also give you a headache.  I love how google covers both sides.  If the latter were the case, I’d have a constant headache with my love and indulgence in iced coffee.  Junior said he went to Dunkin and “purchased” a small drink and a donut (when Junior uses the word “purchased” he’s about to complain about the cost of something I’ve learned over the years).  He asked do you know how much this cost (I guessed lower than I expected on purpose just to make him angrily tell me a higher price).  6 bucks?  No, he says.  7 bucks?  No, he said. $8.95.  He shows me the small drink he got and how it’s already empty.  For that price Junior you better drink the ice cubes in it that kept the temperature of your (very small expensive drink) cold.  Last week I told Junior we have to change the clocks this coming weekend.  He said which way forward 1 hour.  Yeah, Junior you do that and you’ll be 2 hours early to work.  Abby had a toy thermometer and took my temperature.  It read 49.6.  Abby told me based on that I’m not sick and I must still go to school.  It seems like it’s a lot tougher getting a sick day approved from Abby than it is from Savin.  Now when it comes to doing your timesheet, just remember even if you have a temperature/fever you should do it.  Please do your timesheet on time today and remember if you try to call in sick with Abby, your request for a sick day will most likely be rejected.

Have a great weekend!

Anthony
