Preparation

***I remember when I was in school most of the time preparing for a test the day before the exam (or sometimes the day of the exam…as in sitting in class studying as they’re handing the exams out).  No wonder some teachers didn’t like me.  Today’s Friday Email is all about “Preparation.” Have a great weekend!***

Preparation can be a big key in many situations, including a big snowstorm.  Abby called me to tell me she says she’s going to the store.  I asked her what are you getting at the store?  She said candy.  Stocking up on candy for a big snowstorm sounds like smart preparation to me (forget the milk and bread people mob the stores for Abby is in the candy aisle).  I told Abby I’ll see her on Saturday.  Moise asked Abby, do you know the days of the week?  She said Monday.  Moise asked her what’s after Monday?  She said Tuesday.  Moise asked her what’s after Tuesday?  She said Friday.  That sounds like my type of work week Abby and one I would like to prepare for (not sure the bosses would approve that though).  Moise was reading something to me from his desk.  I said what?  He reads more.  I said what?  He says just come here or you’ll keep saying what.  I go over to his desk and the first thing I say is what?  Moise was not happy with me, but he should be prepared for those types of comments from me.  Junior said this guy he saw looked like me who was trying to sell him something.  I said that good looking huh Junior.  Moise was saying is it better to word you’re sorry with “my apology” or “my apologies”? I said I don’t know I think it’s my apology.  I’m not really prepared for this type of question.  He said you should know.  Why?  I don’t make mistakes, what do I have to apologize for?  We googled it.  Both are right but by apologies sounds more serious like you messed up multiple things.  Apology is for a singular thing.  In that case, you better use “my apologies” Moise for plural.  Abby told me I have 5 boo boos on my face, and she accidentally scratched me and said now I have 10 boo boos on my face.  I should have prepared for the extra boo boos.  Abby wanted to go to the park.  It’s 12 degrees out Abby.  I’m not prepared for that type of cold no matter how many layers of clothes I have on.  Joshua said Anthony What’s your name?  Is this a trick question?  I was not prepared for it.  I told Abby no to something she wanted.  She said yes.  I said no.  She said yes.  I said no.  She said no.  I said yes.  Oops.  I was not prepared to be tricked by Abby, changing her answer on me.  Junior was preparing for the big snowstorm by telling me about how his snow blower can barely blow 2 inches of snow (meanwhile we’re expecting closer to 20 inches of snow).  He said he can order one, but it will arrive 2 days after the snowstorm was going to hit.  I guess you can stay home for 2 days waiting for that snow blower to arrive.  Moise said don’t worry, Junior, I have 2 snowblowers.  Wait who owns 2 snowblowers?  Most people don’t even own 1.  Moise offers to give Junior his extra snowblower to use for this snowstorm we got.  Junior figured what a nice guy, but he wasn’t prepared for the fact that Moise told me after Junior uses it he will give him a bill and he charges by the inch of snow we get (I don’t think Junior was prepared to receive that bill from Moise).  Now when it comes to doing your timesheet just remember you should always be prepared to do your timesheet on Friday so please do your timesheet on time today and remember if you need help with a snowblower this winter call Moise but be prepared for the invoice you will receive after the snowstorm is over.

Have a great weekend!

Anthony
